Happy Halloween (and a swift middle finger)

Costumes were a hit, trick-or-treating was a success, loads of candy that will mostly be eaten by me was procured.
They looked freakin’ cute.
And, the neighborhood assholes teenagers left us a lovely “trick.” How adorable of them.
And the community we live in? Why, it’s so fabulous that not only will the homeowners association (which we pay a ridiculous amount in fees to) NOT cover the repair costs, they will also drive by and give us a ticket and a fine if we don’t have it fixed immediately. Welcome to suburbia!
So what exactly does HOA fees cover then ? Or are they just like health insuance companies
Kids look great. If I saw you out and about I couldn’t help but think to myself how you probably have your hands full with those two.

@Courtney, Apparently they don’t cover jack. Maybe some landscaping here or a pool that’s only open two months out of the year there. But nothing of substantial value to me. I have to say that I am thankful for the playgrounds in the neighborhood, so there’s that. But they could do so much more.

And assholes to the jerks. Happened to my parents enough, they built one out of cement hehehe Yeah, bust that BEEYOTCH. That thing has lasted like 20 yrs.

@HeadacheSlayer, Oh, how I pine for a cement mail throne that no pumpkin or rogue firework could put a dent in. Unfortunately, our wonderful HOA requires that all the mailboxes be uniform. It’s a conspiracy.
